it pops up every two minutes even though the update is set to weekly. I did an update to the latest version and it did not fix the problem.
I've turned off automatic updates to stop the problem.
Any ideas?

You might just turn off "Display Pop-up Notifications in Task Bar" and see what happens.

There is a problem with the scheduler set to Weekly around New Year. The next release will have it fixed, but the problem will disappear by itself today (first Monday in January).
