A few days ago I updated to version 96.5. But since about a week I can't get no database update. The program tries to get the information from https://www.clamav.net, but I cannot connect to that site. I use a firewall (ZoneAlarm), but that seems not to be the problem.

Have you tried a reinstalling Versin .96.5, in case you got a bad installation?
A couple of ClamWin users seem to be having problems with updates since Version .96.5. They have gone back to the prevous version for the present, which works okay for them. Do some searching here on the forums to learn more. Previous versions of Clamwin are available at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamwin/files/clamwin/ on the web.

I have tried it with older versions (96.4 and 96.2). They all try to connect to the server www.clamav.net which seems to be down.

I just connected to www.clamav.net. That is their main web page.
Here is info from the ClamWin main web page re: manual updating:
You can get the virus definitions without clamwin via https://
https://database.clamav.net/main.cvd
https://database.clamav.net/daily.cvd
Then copy the downloaded main.cvd and daily.cvd to your database location which is specified in the ClamWin Preferences, File Locations tab. The default database location is: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\.clamwin\db"
