freshclam w/o freshclam.conf file

I'm using ClamWin's command line utility and I have no need for the freshclam.conf file. I didn't delete this file, it just wasn't there to begin with.

When trying to update ClamWin, I ran freshclam with --datadir="" and I got an error:

ERROR: Can't open/parse the config file .\freshclam.conf


Is there anyway to use freshclam without the .conf file?

no freshclam need a config file but you can just use a minimal one:

DatabaseMirror database.clamav.net
DNSDatabaseInfo current.cvd.clamav.net
