First of all I would like to thank all the guys that make clamwin possiable. You hard work and dedication in making the ONLY antivirus software that works on ME, 98, and 95 is a Godsend and I appreciate it.

The error that i am getting is when I run a scan. I getting an error stating this " img/frameicon.ico (error 3: Could not find the specified file)." I just click ok and it works without a problem after that. I did a google search on it and nothing came up.

I am running the current version of clamwin on a windows ME.

any help would be appreciated.

One of the images in the Clamwin icon folder is named Frameicon.ico. It looks to be the mid-sized clamshell icon. There are 12 icons in all. Does it look okay on your machine? If it doesn't, that may be the problem. If so, I suggest you reinstall ClamWin and see if that clears it up.

If that doesn't help, you might just see if you could exclude the Frameicon.ico file from ClamWin scans (in its Preferences, Filters.).

By the way, the ClamSentinel project (not related to ClamWin) can provide partial (basic) real-time scanning with ClamWin, and it is especially for older computers. The Sentinel site is at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamsentinel/ on the web.

Hope this helps.

I rebooted the machine and that did it. Go figure.

I will check out the clamsentinel program. Does that program work with clamwin or is it a standalone antivirus.

thanks,

Well, I'm glad you got it fixed!

ClamSentinel uses ClamWin as its scanner, so ClamWin must be installed/configured before you install ClamSentinel. It is a nice little program. It has multiple drive and USB protection and offers some customizing options, although the defaults are good enough for most users.

I installed the program and it works pretty well. Not bad for a free product. Thanks for the help.

You're right. Not bad for a FREE product. I mean not just "Not Bad", they're excellent.

As you've said on your earlier post, it's the ONLY AV that works on ME and other older versions of windows. Ain't that great?

My thanks to all of the developers and staff of WinClam.
