Congratulations! For the first time since version 94, ClamWin, version 96+, can legitimately claim to function properly when using the Win98SE OS.
...at least it works for me.

Have you tried ClamWin with Clam Sentinel? Sentinel is a separate project, but it allows you to use ClamWin in a limited real-time manner, checking files as they are added, modified, or copied on Win98 and newer computers. For additional security, WinPatrol (free version is available) works with Win98.
