I am a ClamAV/Win noobie, just installed ClamWin 0.95.2 on an old Windows 2000 5.00.2195 SP4 machine (replacing an old, expired Eset Nod32 AV install). Installation seemed to go fine, no errors. But, upon first attempt to download the AV database, I get this error box:

Code:
Could not start process:
"C:\Program Files\ClamWin\bin\freshclam.exe" --stdout --datadir="C:\WINDOWS\All Users
\clamwin\db" --config-file="c:\docume~1\l_ricker\locals~1\temp\tmpbxu6be" --log="c:
\docume~1\l_ricker\locals~1\temp\tmpnqbqvp"
Error: The parameter is incorrect.

And an attempt to scan, say, C: results in alot more of the same:

Code:
Could not start process:
"C:\Program Files\ClamWin\bin\clamscan.exe" --tempdir "c:\docume~1\l_ricker\locals~1
\temp" --keep-mbx --stdout --database="C:\WINDOWS\All Users\clamwin\db" --log="c:
\docume~1\l_ricker\locals~1\temp\tmp2bcxp5" --no-mail --infected --max=files=500 --max-
scansize=150M --max-recursion=5 --max-filesize=100M --show-progress --recursive --
exclude="[&\]*\.dbx$"  --exclude="[&\]*\.tbb$" --exclude="[&\]*\.pst$" --exclude="[&\]*\.dat$"
--exclude="[&\]*\.log$" --exclude="[&\]*\.evt$" --exclude="[&\]*\.nsf$" --exclude="[&\]*\.ntf$"
--exclude="[&\]*\.chm$" --kill "C:\\"
Error: The parameter is incorrect.

This is, of course, inscrutable to me... What's the incorrect parameter, and how can I fix this?

TIA!

Scanner error box should read:

Code:
Could not start process:
"C:\Program Files\ClamWin\bin\clamscan.exe" --tempdir "c:\docume~1\l_ricker\locals~1
\temp" --keep-mbx --stdout --database="C:\WINDOWS\All Users\clamwin\db" --log="c:
\docume~1\l_ricker\locals~1\temp\tmp2bcxp5" --no-mail --infected --max=files=500 --max-
scansize=150M --max-recursion=5 --max-filesize=100M --show-progress --recursive --
exclude="[^\]*\.dbx$" --exclude="[^\]*\.tbb$" --exclude="[^\]*\.pst$" --exclude="[^\]*\.dat$"
--exclude="[^\]*\.log$" --exclude="[^\]*\.evt$" --exclude="[^\]*\.nsf$" --exclude="[^\]*\.ntf$"
--exclude="[^\]*\.chm$" --kill "C:\\"
Error: The parameter is incorrect.

(Manual transcription error "&" for "^" above). And sorry for duplication of original post. TIA again.
