I'd like to know either one of two things:
1) How to emulate commercial/freeware apps that scan a file or folder via a context menu item that sends the file or file directly to the scanner to be scanned. I have tried putting shortcuts to the app in the SendTo folder but all that does is launch the app. We still have to navigate to file/folder to scan.
2) If the above in 1) is not possible, examples of commandline syntax to scan, say, the desktop and a file called, say, "f:\app, Launcher\TrayLaunch.exe" would be much appreicated. I'll figure out how to automate this type of thing esp. if the commandline syntax to do the above involves a bat file. But I need help coming up with the code itself. The advice given everywhere is to pull up the help re switches which doesn't work; on home computer or here at work, the dos command box winks out after a quick flash on the screen. >prn and other attempts to print out commands haven't worked either. But the other problem is that even once I found the switches (one person kindly posted the switches on the web somewhere that I found a few months back), nothing seemed to work from there anyway. There's just a dearth of information regarding scanning specific files/folders with ClamWin.
I'm very tired of opening up the app then navigating to the location of the file/folder and then initializing the app. It's too cumbersome a process. If there was a box where we could just dump the file/folder path in, that would save a lot of grief. But I do understand about this being done by volunteers. I do appreciate the app and am glad to have it. Just hoping to figure out how to use the scanning options that must be available.
