Would really appreciate your help & guidance here.
I ran a Clamwin scan on my computer with these results below:
c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ActiveScan\pskavs.dll: Sirius.Annihilator.272 FOUND
c:\WINDOWS\WIN386.SWP: Permission denied
c:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs\VSMON_2nd_2007_12_11_00_18_29.dmp.zip: W97M.Quoter.A FOUND
Sirius.Annihilator.272 FOUND - I did a lot of reading & searching and it seems that this is a false positive (if one had ever used the Panda Scanner) which I have but a long time ago.
Is this right??
WIN386.SWP: Permission denied - Why would this be denied?
VSMON_2nd_2007_12_11_00_18_29.dmp.zip: W97M.Quoter.A
I found that VSMON file in Windows\Internet logs, and wonder if it is safe to just delete this whole VXMON file and if I do, does that mean that I would have gotten rid of this Quoter virus?
Would I have to disable system restore before I delete this file?
Also, is it safe to delete these files in c:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs, even tho' they don't necessarily say they are temps?
Thanks for any help.
