Since installing ClamAV 0.95.1 yesterday I have found the following problem: -

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\EXCEL.EXE: moved to 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\.clamwin\quarantine\EXCEL.EXE.infected'
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\excelcnv.exe: moved to 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\.clamwin\quarantine\excelcnv.exe.infected'
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\EXCEL.EXE: W32.Virut.Gen.D-163 FOUND
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\excelcnv.exe: W32.Virut.Gen.D-163 FOUND

These files ARE NOT infected; are OK when tested with version 0.94; and are even marked as infected by 0.95.1 after a clean installation. No other AV software even suggests that these files are infected, which leaves me with the choice of removing Microsoft Office 2007 from my system, or dumping ClamAV into the trash.
Guess what I've chosen to do? Sad

How on earth can the people writing this software allow such a gross error to appear in this normally wonderful application? Ah well, back to AVG!

You should tell Clam AV about false positive detections so they can correct them. All AVs have false positives, including AVG, which is a fine product, but they can't correct them until users tell them about it.
