I got something on my computer and it is apprently shutting down clamwin before it can finish. It just stops and expires after running a few hours. Any ideas what I should do next. HELP

It's strange that Clawin runs for hours to complete a scan. My 160 GB HD is being scanned between 50/60 mins, so perhaps there has been something wrong during installation of the program.
I would recommend to uninstall and reinstall it completely (be sure the software has been downloaded from official site @ https://www.clamwin.com/content/view/18/46/).
In addition I would try to verify if some malware is leading to malfunctions on yr. machine; try an online scan with one of the AV's listed on the 'Anti Malware Resources' page of ClamWin website, just to verify if some detection is found. In case, on the same page also some removal tools are listed.
If it still doesn't work pls provide here some details about the machine on which Clamwin is running (that is: OS, available RAM,...), information may be useful to provide extra support.
