Hello, I am not a nerd by any means, just trying to understand all this. I get the message to update. I click it - it starts downloading and never seems to get done. I am on dialup. I use windows 98 on an old Dell. It ran so long (about 7 hours) with 12609204 bytes downloaded, that the dialup shut me down. The update window never got past the statement when of the time it started. Should it take that long to update? I downloaded the .93 version and installed it. Can someone help in simple terms? Thanks for any and all help for this old gal.

When I started using ClamWin almost two years ago now, I was using it on a Win 98SE machine without any problems. Over time, however, the ClamWin code has changed, and people on older machines now have reported some problems. Do a search on "Windows 98" or "updating Windows 98" here on the ClamWin forums to see if there is another thread that can help. The ClamWin developers are doing some beta testing at the moment and might not be able to answer you for a while.
