My installation of clamWin seems to reboot at the same point in every scan i've run so far, including when running in safe mode. I will update this post when i get home with the point at which clamWin reboots. I am curious, however, if a reboot is normal behavior for ClamWin.

It is not normal. Set ClamWin to "Report Only" and uncheck the "Unload infected files from memory", then scan again and see how that goes. Also read this topic: https://forums.clamwin.com/viewtopic.php?t=1620 https://forums.clamwin.com/viewtopic.php?t=1620.
