Would it be possible to set the "move to quarantine folder" standard to on by default at install, so that people like me, do not only have to watch the virus being detected, but also being removed instead of waiting until someone shows me how to set the "move to quarantine folder".
By the way it's a great scanner and very thorough.

I used to have my ClamWin set to quarantine. One day a "false positive" got into the signatures from Clam, and it mistakenly recognized an important Windows file as containing malware. It moved the file to quarantine, and I was unable to access Windows directly and not even in Safe Mode. If I had known what was going on, I might could have done something about it, but all I could do was reformat and reinstall Windows. Since then, I just have ClamWin Report malware, and I upload it to Jotti or VirusTotal to confirm it and then manually delete it if other AVs confirm it.
ClamWin will not delete anything from Quarantine--you have to navigate to the Quarantine folder and manually delete it.

First of all, you need to be sure it is a virus--upload the file to Jotti or VirusTotal online and see if at least a couple of other AV programs agree it contains a virus. Even if it is quarantined, you might still want to see if it is a virus.
If it is a virus, then you can navigate to the folder where it is on your computer and delete the file that contains it--whether it be in ClamWin's quarantine folder or some other folder.
