I used to have my ClamWin set to quarantine. One day a "false positive" got into the signatures from Clam, and it mistakenly recognized an important Windows file as containing malware. It moved the file to quarantine, and I was unable to access Windows directly and not even in Safe Mode. If I had known what was going on, I might could have done something about it, but all I could do was reformat and reinstall Windows. Since then, I just have ClamWin Report malware, and I upload it to Jotti or VirusTotal to confirm it and then manually delete it if other AVs confirm it.
ClamWin will not delete anything from Quarantine--you have to navigate to the Quarantine folder and manually delete it. Regards, |

First of all, you need to be sure it is a virus--upload the file to Jotti or VirusTotal online and see if at least a couple of other AV programs agree it contains a virus. Even if it is quarantined, you might still want to see if it is a virus.
If it is a virus, then you can navigate to the folder where it is on your computer and delete the file that contains it--whether it be in ClamWin's quarantine folder or some other folder. Regards, |
