Hello !
I think that the option pause and resume the scan is an fundamental option.
The total scan of clamwin is very low, but add this option can to continue to do scan the next days too, without to must necessarily to high the speed of software the next versions.
To begin a scan a day and continue it in many days, resume it after the windows restarts, it's an exceptional thing and it's going to cancel the problem of speed.
I hope in this !
Bye

The rewrite (ClamWin 1.0) will have the option to pause.
As for the legacy 0.9x versions: this will be very hard to implement, since clamscan does the actual scanning. As you might know, clamscan is part of the clamav project, not part of clamwin.
To implement a pause option, you would have to cancel clamscan, then parse the log to see how far it got, and launch multiple clamscan commands to scan the remaining directories separately. This would complicate the code a lot and would probably be highly error-prone.
Now before you ask: there is no timeline set to come to version 1.0. A lot of work has been done, but there are still some things to complete before we can go to beta-status.
