Hi Marc,

When a user logs on for the first time after ClamWin is installed, the clamwin.conf file is copied from x:\Program Files\Clamwin\bin to x:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\.clamwin.

Procedure for system-wide settings would be as follows:
- Install ClamWin
- Make the settings as you want them using the Preferences Window
- Copy x:\Documents And Settings\<your>\Application Data\.clamwin\clamwin.conf to x:\Program Files\ClamWin\bin\

When an other user logs on, he will take over the settings from the bin directory.

What you could do to synchronize existing users is to have a logon script for each user that copies the changed clamwin.conf file to their user settings. That way, you could at any moment alter the file in the bin directory, and it would affect any user that logs on. You could also do the same with the ScheduledScans file. In fact, if you have a network, you could maintain 1 set of clamwin.conf/ScheduledScans on a network drive and have each user profile synchronized with that.

I know this isn't really user-friendly, but i can't think of any other way for now. We might need to consider adding some way to refer to system-wide settings.

By the way: disable notification is in the Internet Updates tab of the preferences, but i guess you found that.

regards,
budtse
