How large is your hard drive and what version of ClamWin are you using? Regardless, it shouldn't take days for ClamWin to scan, and you shouldn't have multiple scans going. It sounds like you may have a "bad" installation of ClamWin. Delete the program, reinstall it, and see if that helps.
For comparison, my system (Win XP SP2, 160 meg hard drive) takes a couple of hours to scan and averages about 50% CPU use, but when I filter ClamWin preferences to only scan for dangerous file extensions, it takes about one hour. I usually scan the Windows directory only and look for dangerous extensions, and it takes about 30 minutes. Regards, |

I am having the same issue.
I left my computer to scan last night to go watch some football, thinking it would be done by the end of the game. It wasn't, so I let it go into the night while I slept. It is still going now, and is past the 12 hour mark. What gives!?! 160gb, Vista, with a 40gb partition for Linux. |
