Any virus scanner like this?

I am wondering if there are any virus scanners out there that are made to be very simple, small, fast and lite.

Like something that has 3 files: the exe, the updateable virus definition file and the readme.

None of this autostarting startup scanning and monitoring your system and hogging system memory and bloated interfaces and mutiple exes. Just run the 1 exe and pick a drive to scan and go. And maybe a small registry entry that enables you to right click on a file to "scan on demand" or whatever. Fast, lite and small! That's it.

To me, that would be the ultimate virus scanner.

Malware is no longer simple, so that dictates that antivirus software has to become more complicated as well. I do consider Clam/ClamWin to be in the simple category, but they become more complicated as functionality is increased.

https://oss.netfarm.it/clamav

That is the direct port of clamav without all the gui stuff. There are threads on this forum detailing the command line arguments, but they can be viewed by using "--help."
