Over the last two weeks I've been having a lot of trouble, mainly with outlook crashing, but also in IE7.
Have had problems with Skype not wanting to work and then it's OK and then situations where links won't work at all and the machine rebooting to then working fine - well for a short time at least!
Error messages vary from "problem caused by Intel graphics driver", "problem casued by device driver", "the ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working properly". Have re-installed Intel drivers but to no avial.
Have had microsoft support working on it but they can't find the problem, their still going though, only suggestion they have indicated is it could be a conflict with the anti-virus program, i.e. clamwin. I've had Clamwin for about 12 months and no real problems apart from the slow opening of attachments but that seems to have been fixed with the recent update.
Given microsoft don't seem to be sure I thought I'd ask here if there is any known recent problems/conflicts and/or odd behaviour that may have been created by an update to Clamwin?

Odd behavior like you describe is sometimes associated with malware. ClamWin doesn't hardly seem to have any conflicts because it's an on-demand only scanner. I don't want to be an alarmist, but have you checked your computer with another antivirus besides ClamWin? If not, try the NOD32 on-line scanner or Trend Micro's scanner. You might also download Sophos' Antirootkit and run it--it's the easiest to use that I've seen.
There was a graphics driver infector called Fujacks earlier this year (Trend Micro). Here's a quote from Trend: "Upon execution, it drops a copy of itself as NCSCV32.EXE in the Drivers folder located in the Windows system folder. "
