ClamAV just announced the release of version 0.91 featuring some good improvements. However, I don't know if they have fixed the problems with slow scanning in Outlook mentioned here--it was made available to them a couple of days ago.

One interesting improvement is anti-phishing technology. It's about time--those Google interns developed it last summer. I don't know if ClamWin can take advantage of it--may depend upon a resident scanning capability.

It just might be that ClamAV will speed up their releases now. I'm sure they are working hard toward their version 1.0 also.

That problem was already fixed some months ago in the 0.91 SVN branch.

You may subscribe to the Beta Test Group and get access to pre-release builds, there is one with 0.91 code.
