HI

I´m trying to configure the notifications by e-mail using the ClamWin Antivirus on my server, but it´s seem´s to be not working...I´ve put the smtp server correct, and when I try to send a test message, seems to be ok, but on my mailbox I not have any message..

Is anybody trying to do the same and having the same problem??

( I´m using the smtp server of Yahoo!, just in case if anybody ask for it....)

Thanks

Hi

I´ve solved the problem yet......the only thing is put on the field "From" and "To" the same e-mail address, this will be working fine......

Just in case if anybody has the same problem.....

Thanks. Perhaps someone can put this in the ClamWin documentation--or make it a FAQ, frequently asked question/answer. Of course, if you are on a network, it might be different.

"from" and "to" addresses don't have to be the same. The configured SMTP server must allow "from" address to send without SMTP authentication and "to" address must be valid.

The only thing that I didn´t pay too much attention is the fact that the field "From" and "To" must be a valid e-mail address......

Now I have two different e-mail address on the system, one that will be the "notificator" and another that will be the "Center of Notifications"......And works perfect.......

But it´s good to know that all of you is interesting in make a life better by answering the post........thanks a lot..

Well this tool (ClamWin) is a very intuitive security tool, dispensing another documentation, perhaps you´re using a line command on the Linux system.....but I think that all documentation we have it´s enough to make a network secure (or try to) from virus and spywares........Another option is post here your question, but your idea was good......let´s look foward to make this dream a reality.....
