A corrupted downloaded Virus Database Update hangs ClamWin. I had to force close the application. When I reopened it, the Scan button was disabled no matter what directory I selected. This was due to the corrupted database. I fixed it by going into the DB directory and deleting all the files and then selecting the Virus Database Update from the menu.

I believe I saw a mention somewhere that the ClamAV databases were signed with a key. Could be this is only for security and doesn't ensure a good database copy has been downloaded. Is there room for improvement here?
