I have one more question and I didn't find an answer.....If you have 2 different users on a computer then do I have to scan both sides seperately? And say my side has a virus does his automatically have it too or how does this work? Thanks again.

What do you mean?
No, it happens only with some ole containers, this will be fixed in next release
what about "Scan with ClamWin antivirus?" using right click on explorer?
Users have different profiles, different documents dir, but if you do a full scan on the hd and you have full permission to access to profiles directory, a single scan is enough |

If you are new to computers, we should point out that ClamWin is not yet a complete antivirus scanner. It is an on-demand scanner, which means that is scans one or more files only when you tell it to--by setting up scheduled scans in the Preferences menu or by choosing a ClamWin scan by right-clicking on a file, folder, or drive when you are looking at your hard drive or desktop programs. It is not a resident scanner (sometimes called on-access scanners). Resident scanners check your computer in real-time as you download/open/close files and programs. They will also scan files/programs for you on-demand. So a resident scanner is a more complete/secure antivirus program.
If you use the Internet/Web a lot, you need to have a resident antivirus scanner as your primary scanner. There are several good resident scanners that are free--such as AVG antivirus from Grisoft and AntiVir from Avira, or Avast from Alwil. The developers intend to upgrade ClamWin to a resident scanner with version 1.0. It is now at version 0.90.1, so it will still be a while before it becomes a resident scanner. Until then, you should probably use one of the free resident scanners mentioned (I favor AntiVir), and use ClamWin as a backup scanner. Regards, |

I don't know what I meant. One of the frequently asked questions was if your computer ws Compromised then you should take it to a professional and it said something about if you know how to do this then they gave you directions on I guess how to wipe your computer clean. I was really curious. Thanks for your answers they were really informative.
