My scan results show a lot of infections identified as "unofficial" for example "Worm.Bagle.8.Zippwd.Unofficial". What does this mean?
thank you

unofficial means that the application is not made by a certified company, but alot of the times, this does not mean its a virus. Go to virustotal.com and upload those files and if they are recognized as viruses, then you should delete them.
hope this helps!

A detection is now labeled as "unofficial" if it is based on a "homemade" signature--not on a signature prepared by the Clam team. Evidently you have some such signatures if Clam/ClamWin says a detection is "unofficial." No problem--they are still good--provided you did a good job when you prepared the sig.
