Dear Alch or any other braniack,
I installed 0.88.1 and I just tried to scan my c: drive and the below error came up:
\cygdrive\c\programFiles\ClamWin\bin\clamscan: unrecognized option
'--show-progress'
Please help me figure out what the deal is.

looks like that clamscan hasn't been updated. did the setup prompt you to reboot and did you reboot?
If the reboot doesn't fix it, then uninstall clamwin and install it again.
