Sentinel is a software that detect changes in your windows folder or registry and alert the anti-virus program to do a scan.

Currently, I am testing it with Clamwin.

I'm not familiar with Sentinel. Does it do anything besides tell you to scan something with your antivirus software? Most similar behavior blocker software suspends the restistry entry until you tell it to Accept or Delete the item. By the time some virus has written to your registry, it may be too late to scan (other evil stuff may have happend as well). Anyway, if the program works, it can increase your security, and is a good complement to ClamWin. A "layered" security system consisting of several different software programs (firewall, antivirus, antispyware, behavior blocker) is usually better than only one security program--as long as the layers are complementary to each other and don't do the same things.

Good, well-known, and well-tested software that is similar are ThreatFire from PC Tools and WinPatrol from Bill P Studios. Both come in free versons and provide a significant increase in security when used with ClamWin.

I have Spybot's Tea Timer to deny registry changes.

Sentinel is an additional defense because Clamwin do not have real time on access scanner.

Winpooh does not work on my PC because I use Win XP SP3.

I hope a combination of softwares that use little resources could provide a good defense against known and unknown viruses.
