ClamWin Free Antivirus :: View topic - ClamAV 0.93.3 was released a month ago?!!!!

I just want to ask why Clamwin didn't upgrade the clamav from 0.93.1 to 093.3 eventhough it has been a month.

Alch is already working on 0.93.4 version (see below).

Keep in mind that Clamwin is being developed mainly by two persons in their spare time so it may happen that version updates are not that close to the ones released by Clam.

there are no relevant changes on 0.93.3, mainly sigtool that is not used by clamwin

I'm getting version update errors in the log saying local version 93.1, latest version 93.3. Yet on the website the latest version is 93.1 - I'm befuddled .....

Hello,
That's correct. ClamAV engine version is already at 0.93.3 whereas Clamwin is still at 0.93.1. This will disappear once Clamwin will be upgraded to the same engine version of ClamAV.
However note that this is not affecting software functions; virus updates and scans can be carried out as usual.
