I've been using ClamWin for a few months. I like it ! Had no problems until now .
Today when I tried to update daily.cvd got Warning message to update engine.

I use ClamWin as an on-demand scanner, my main Resident AV is Avast! . Using Win XP SP2 , all updated.
Downloaded the File : clamwin-0.88-setup (12.3KB) [ Is that the right file ? ] double clicked it, also tried RUN and this Error has occured. [/b]

Any ideas as to what's happening, I've read FAQ before posting , says should just install over top of previous version , but i haven't a clue
Any advice greatly appreciated.

the downloaded file is likely to be corrupt, redownload and all should be fine

Yes I've downloded the file 5 times. I'll try again today. Is there a checksum list for the file(s) ?

it is likely that the corrupt file is stored on a proxy server and every time you download you get a bad copy. Noone else reported it therefore I assume the problem is not with the sourceforge mirrors or the file itself.

Try to download from here (paste the URL into your browser rather then click on it):

For Reference , the link I tried previously was @ page :

https://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/clamwin/clamwin-0.88-setup.exe?download uses sourceforge mirrors system. If you proxy cached the bad file, you were getting from the cache because it was using the same mirror all the time. Use of another another mirror (osdn) would have helped in this case.

I dont know why this happens , but each release ClamWin Free Antivirus comes through as a 12kb file when I download from sourceforge.net
I need a reliable mirror
