I just downloaded and installed Clamwin on my computer and am running into a strange problem. During a scan when it is looking at ".msi" files from Apple the program takes many many minutes per file. Aftere 35 minutes I had only scanned 1000 files out of 65,000 on the drive.
Anyone else have this problem. I am running XP prof service pack 2. I previously used Norton and run Spybot regularly with reasonable times ( 20 min for the whole machine)

ClamWin "chews" a lot on MSI and CAB files, so if you have many of them, it can be a long scan. That's why I have excluded *.msi and *.cab files from scanning in my ClamWin preferences. While Sherpya might not recommend excluding them, I also use another real-time scanner in conjunction with ClamWin, so I'm not taking a very big chance of missing any malware.
