There have been a lot of false positives in the past few weeks. Fortunately, I had all my users turn off quarantining a few days ago. Unfortunately, one of them didn't and lost explorer.exe.
Is something changing? The number of false positives is making clamwin unusable.

I'm not sure exactly why the false positives. I've received a couple of falsies lately in my AVG antivirus also, which is a bit unusual. I have noticed an overall improvement in detection rates (on Jotti) for almost all antivirus programs during the last couple of months. I assume they are getting a little more agressive. A new security industry association (AMTSO--the AntiMalware Testing Standards Organization) is trying to come up with some more relevant standards for testing antivirus/antimalware software. They may have something by the end of this year. Perhaps the antivirus companies are trying to improve their detection in response to that.
