Hi,

I have a slight problem. I have installed on a flash disk the latest version of ClamWin portable and when I try to start the application (no matter if it is through the PortableApps Menu or Explorer) the antivirus shows the splash screen and immediately closes.

I use WinXp SP2, there is already installed the Zone Alarm (however, in previous versions the antivirous started no matter if there was any other antivirus installed in the system) but that happened also when I uninstalled the Zone Alarm. The most strange was that there was no record found in Windows' Application Log that could explain why it suddenly closed down. In the local directory of the ClamWin in the flash drive, however, each time the program runs it changes a file "ClamWin.exe.log" and part of its content is as follows:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "ClamWin.py", line 26, in ?
zipimport.ZipImportError: can't decompress data; zlib not available

What should I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Iosif

I suspect ZoneAlarm uses custom version of Python interpreter and it is used globally. Not sure what you can do except uninstalling zonealarm
