Hi all,

In my other thread I mentioned that clamwin detected two viruses that panda didn't, it moved them to quarentine and all looked fine. However on closer inspection I noticed that there were still traces of them in my registry (even though the file was not accessible). Does clamwin not alter the registry, rmove the virus in a more eficient way? Are there plans to improve this situation. If so then I honestly think that the days on panda, norton and many others are counted.

Keep uup the excellent work!

Cheers,
P.

clamwin does not touch the windows registry and it os for a reason. If a file that is referred to from windows registry is removed, then the registry reference is harmless. Messing up with registry without user's knowledge is not good and unnecessary in this case

OK. Makes sense. So would you recomend that I just quarentine the file, read up on it and maybe later delete it from quarentine?
