Losing Configuration When ClamWin Scanned From Safe Mode

I occasionally perform a manual scan with ClamWin from Safe Mode, and I seem to lose my configuration settings on these scans. As a result, the scans take much longer, as my configuraton is designed to optimize scan time. Can anything be done to keep my configuration in Safe Mode? If not in the present legacy version of ClamWin, then how about in Version 1.0?
