.
I've been waiting over 8 minutes now for the new scan engine to start scanning it is still reading the data base file!

The speed increase it backwards here!

I confirm that the new release 0.91.1 is much faster than thr previous one.
I donwloaded the full version, not the"no-db". Maybe this can be helpful for you.

Anyway, i have to test it again with hMailServer and the Outlook plugin too.

I went from 40 sec loading time to 4 secs. I am happy with the outcome.

I do my tests with hMailServer and the Outlook plugin.

The first one seems to be very much faster, the plugin is better than before but a very very little slow.

Anyway, the new release is a great job!!!

Have to second the other replies here: what I found until now, is that the 0.91.1 release is definitely faster than the 0.90.x releases, both when scanning folders/files and for email. I don't now about earlier releases -- my memory doesn't serve me that well...

Can anyone make any comment on CPU usage stats with the new 0.91.1 release? The biggest issue for me with previous versions was that despite me setting it as a low priority process it would consume all available CPU time when scanning messages coming through hMailServer. This is a big issue for me as the server in question is used to host several services requiring real time responses which are sensitive to CPU hogging like this.

different solutions should be used/developed with a mailserver, calling clamscan each email it's very slow since it will need to re-load the virus db, you may need a solution similar
we have used in outlook plugin, perhaps I don't kwnon hmailserver, it's wide spreaded? it's free? etc
