I use ClamWin (newest version) and I want to thank the deleveopment team first for developing such a great free program!

The reason why I am posting here is, that I want to scan a certain folder on my harddisc. Now I read in the manual that
ClamWin uses special commands to scan certain folders via the command line.

I tried the following command in the DOS Mode under Windows 2000 Service Pack 4:

clamscan.exe --database="C:\Programe\ClamWin\db" --recursive C:\

(I use a German system so the path is different to other countries).

Ok, when I type in that command I have no problem, but I want to have a simple link to ClamWin on my Desktop, so that I only have
to click on the link on my desktop to scan this certain folder.

I don't want to type the command ever time in the DOS Mode to scan a certain folder.

I don't know how to create a correct link on my desktop.

I tried to creat a link to the program ClamWIN and wrote in the "target" line in the link the same command I used in the DOS Mode but there was no
result. Only ClamWin was opening the normal program with the normal user interface.

I hope you understand what I could do and whats my problem or my idea.

If I understand correctly, you want an icon that will start clamwin for scanning that certain directory everytime you click it ?

Then you should just create a batch file (e.g. ScanDir.bat) holding the command you use on the command prompt, and add a shortcutt to that batch file (or even the batch file itsself) on the desktop.
