Ok, I have other questions, but I don't speak english and I can't to ask them, if someone speak spanish and english please translate:
?Por qu?© no programan un escaner en tiempo real configurable para poderse desactivar?
?Por qu?© clamwin no intenta desinfectar sino que solo elimina los archivos o los mueve a la cuarentena?
?Por qu?© clamwin no codifica los archivos en cuarentena?
?Por qu?© tarda tanto leyendo las definiciones de virus antes de escanear?
What's the recommended compiler for the source code of clamwin?
I don't have the latest version, and I want to know if the latest version is too slow loading the virus database like the version what I've.
I've downloaded and installed tortoise, I'll try it but I need to restart my computert, I'll post if I downloaded the source code.

I can't download the source code.

For the C++ part you can use Visual C++ Express Edition with the Microsoft Windows 2003 Server SDK. For the Python part you need Python 2.3, Python Win32 extensions, wxPython and Py2Exe. If you want to compile the outlook plugin you'll also need some files from Exchange to compile the code (don't know why we need them, but we do).

Loading the database will be better in ClamWin 91.1, which will be released probably this weekend or next week.
Good luck,
Peter

The four questions HOHO asked in Spanish were (in the order asked):
1. Why no real-time scanner?
2. Why can't ClamWin disinfect--only scan?
3. Why doesn't ClamWin codify the files in quarantine (I'm not sure what he means here)?
4. Why does ClamWin scan so slowly?

thank you guitarbob and other members, some avs codify the infected files modifying their content and renaming them, so the user can't execute them accidentally and infect the system, clamwin only moves the files to the quarantine folder and if the user explore that using windows explorer, can to execute them accidentally.
I already received several aids to download the source code, but I'm occupied today, I'll try to download this the next week.

Here are my "unofficial" answers. I'll post them in English because I read Spanish much better than write or speak it, and I don't have a Spanish language keyboard.
ClamWin doesn't presently have a real-time scanner because it uses the antivirus engine from Clam Antivirus, which is written in Linux. ClamWin provides a graphical interface (GUI) to the Clam program for Windows users. Developing a real-time scanner requires a lot of programming. A real-time scanner is being developed for Version 1.0. It is pretty far along, but there are only two part-time developers, and there is no release date set.
Disinfection also requires a lot of programming. Neither Clam or ClamWin disinfect. Many viruses (malware) now have multiple payloads and can do quite a bit of damage to an infected system, so a complete disinfection is difficult to accomplish for any antivirus. Clam Antivirus has announced they will provide disinfection for Ole files at some point, and ClamWin will benfit from it.
If you configure ClamWin to quarantine infected files, it puts them in its quarantine folder with "infected" in the name to identify them as infected. Some users just delete the files, and others send the files to online scanning services to verify the infection. I do not know what will be done with them in Version 1.0.
ClamWin scans slower than some antivirus programs because it is limited by its programming. It has been speeded up during the last few versions. Version 1.0 will be much faster and require less memory because it will use programming techniques to optimize scanning.
Espero que mis respondados le ayuda.
