I have clamwin version 0.88 installed on Win2k sp4.
Symptoms
1. Crashing on most options.
2. Crashing when I open outlook with message like "Unable to access file "C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Local Settings\Temp\bla some tmp directory\image001.jpg - Virus deleted by clamwin.txt"
3. Unable to send any message with attachments.
In reviewing what I have done over the past weeks I correlated the installation of cwrsync to the start of the problems. Reviewing the Clamwin faq's showed there needed to be an entry for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2\/tmp. As per the faq I created the required entry. Clamwin still crashed, cwrsync fine.
I disabled the cwrsync service, crashing stopped.
I have noted there are different versions of cygwin1.dll from the clamwin install to the cwrsync installation. Cwrsync has a version of 1005.19.0.0 and clamwin has a version of 1005.18.0.0.
Has anybody experienced this problem ?
Can I simply copy the cygwin1.dll into the clamwin directory ?
Is there something about the required registry entries I am missing ?
I would really like to keep both cwrsync and clamwin running, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

FAQ: https://www.clamwin.com/content/view/77/27/
if the other cygwin1.dll is newer (as it appears in your case) then you should copy it over cygwin1.dll in clamwin directory.

Alch,
Thanks for the help.
I copied over cygwin1.dll and all seems to be fine so far. Guess I should have gone further into the faq's.
Thanks again.
