looks like there is a problem with 90.2. ı tried a full scan but when clamwin tried to scan a setup file which is 503mb it failed. it scanned %99 than stopped and scanning didnt continue. it didnt give any error messages. then when ı made a full scan 3 days later this time it couldnt scan a setup file which was 265mb and it scanned %99 and stopped. the same problem with my first scan. ı use 0.90.2 and xp with sp2

Someone recently found a problem with big block file sizes, which might also apply to your problem. Here is the page on the forum: https://forums.clamwin.com/viewtopic.php?t=381&highlight=files. If so, it looks like they are aware of it, so something should be done about it.

ı read the post but my problem is a bit diffrent because ı dont get an error message it just stops scanning. it shows %99 and doesnt continue to scan. ı look at the cpu usage and it doesnt use any cpu. ı mean it stops scanning with no error messages.

Does the problem happen with the same file type (cab, msi, ?)? I don't have any files that large, but ClamWin seems to "chew" too long on a couple of file types, so I have excluded them from my scans.

So it scans smaller .exe files okay--the problem is with those two large ones. You might try changing your Advanced configuration setting (scan executables only/ignore) and see if this has any effect. Also, see what happens when you do a scan of just those two files by themselves. If you have previously used those files previously, did they run okay?
There may be a 1GB limit on archive file size for scanning (that's the largest file size allowed on the Archive configuration page). There could be a limit on exe file size for scanning also.

I believe the versions should say the same except for the second decimal. I have version 0.90.2.1. A scan says 0.90.2, but the Help/About option shows 0.90.2.1. You might try a reinstall--or upgrade to v.90.2.1 if you don't have it yet.

@GuitarBob
clamav base it's still 0.90.2, 0.90.2.1 it's a clamwin specific update, mainly for the modified outlook plugin
so the engine is anyway 0.90.2

Hello,
I did a scan with clamwin 0.90.2.1 on the mentioned 503 MB file: SilkroadOnlinevGlobalOfficial_v1.02.exe
and it scanned the file in 29 mins (without problem or hanging).
after 16 mins: 39%
after 22 mins: 70%
after 26 mins: 93%
after 28 mins: 99%
But this does not prove that the bug does not exist,
(e.g. different OS; there may be conditions different on dj.turkmaster's system; we just have to try harder, because the bug does not appear always, ...)
my basic OS System:
Microsoft® Windows® Server Code Name "Longhorn" Datacenter
6.0.6001 Service Pack 1, v.126 Build 6001
AMD Athlon Xp 1800+, 1,25 GB RAM
