Just added a test account (just a member of the Users group) to do some quick tests.

Database update, file scanning (with detection of the test files) and memory scanning all seem to work fine.

Could you give us some more details about what exactly is not working ?

If you are referring to the installer: try to install "for this user only", because it won't allow you to install for other users if you're not an Administrator.

regards,

budtse

Scanning does not work, the Scan button is disabled.
On start it complains that I did yet download the virus database.

If I try to update, it breaks with an error indicating that it tried to save files into the administrators folder.

OK, I removed v 0.90.1 and installed 0.90.2 (as Admin, of course, for all users).

Then I started it as a regular user and it was the same.
first is complains that I did not download... and if I click YES in that dialog I get the "Downloading Update..." window which shows immediately :

Can't change dir to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.clamwin\db

this is strange since when installing as admin db dir should be in "all users" folder
mine is in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\.clamwin\db

Same here.

xerces8: You can change the database folder in the clamwin configuration (File Locations tab). I think that should do the trick for you. I do wonder why it was set to the Administrator folder though.

What version of Windows is used (98, XP, Vista), and in what sort of environment is it used (network type)?

it seams an issue in the innosetup install script (very strange), like it doesn't correctly detect the all users folder
