Are dual core/dual processor systems unstable?

I've installed ClamWin on about 10 systems now, 8 are fine and 2 are giving blue screens.

The two having the issues are:
- An old dual Pentium system (2 x Penuium 600 running windows 2000)
- A dual core pentium (950 pentium, intel motherboard 945 chipset)

Has anyone noticed issues with either dual processor or dual core systems?

Thx
Kev

clamwin itself should not cause blue screens, are you getting those randomly or consistently?

The twin 600 was stable for the last couple years it started crashing the next day after install. (I was never on it to see it die). The dual core is an XP system we use as a virtual server. The Virtual machines could be accessed (surprisingly) but not the console nor remote terminal. It had been build reliable for three months it started crashing the next day as well.

The other single processor machines are all running happily. although an old Domain controller with 256Mb Ram ran out of memory

Regards,

I've reviewed the thread and:
1. I already have the latest version 9.0.1
2. Although I didn't select the "auto remove" for files, it however was set for memory. I'll try deselecting this option.

thx

if the winlogon false positive is not an issue, then clamwin should not blue screen your system - it does not have any system level components such as on-access scanning driver.

Not sure about dual processor, or dual core,

However, are those pentium 600s pentium IIs?

I seem to remember reading something about clamwin not supporting pentium II machines anymore.

Of course, I could be wrong on that.
