Will the latest version of ClamWin work on Windows Small Business Server 2003 and are there any caveats with running ClamWin on a mission critical server? It ClamWin an appropriate choice for an AV solution in a mission critical environment?

clamwin will work in Windows 2003 server. With regards to it's suitability in a "mission critical" environment - all depends what do you use it for. Clamwin does not have a realtime scanner so it will allow an infected file to be saved to disk, however it will pick up the infection during a manual or scheduled scan. You know the requirements of your mission critical environment and are the best person to decide.

Hello,

If you are looking for a good Antivirus for your server there is Avast Antivirus, from experience I can tell you that it is also very light on resources.

I've been using it on a Windows 2003 server for quite some time now. I haven't had any problems with it as a virus scanner.

I have had issues trying to use it as an event sink to scan incoming emails.. but that's another kettle of fish. Smile
