when I request a scan, I get an active window pop-up showing the scanning process, but I cannot minimize it.
How can I minimize this scanning window so that I can do other work while the
scan in in progress?

Pretty strange, normally you can minimize and maximize it easily.
What sort of windows are you running?

I'm afraid there is currently no way to minimize the dialog. The only workaround i know of is using the scheduled scanner, but then you'll have no way to see what it is doing until after it is finished (and you can view the report).

Thank you for the replies. I'd like to see this "minimize option" added to ClamWin. Right now, it's the main reason I don't use it. Unless that feature is definitely out of the question, I'll just keep periodically checking the future releases.

Please keep in mind that ClamWin is mostly(if not fully) operated by people work voluntaryily so the"Right Now" is unlikely to happen. However a donation might help, because if Clamwin gets enough money they will be able to hire a developer as well as still have the help of the community.

Sorry al968 ... perhaps I should have said "presently" instead of "right now" ... because
I was not implying an "immediate" feature implementation. I was trying to convey that I'm not
using Clamwin "right now / presently " mainly because I can't background the process.
No biggie. Apologies if I offended you. I'm fully aware that Clamwin is done by
volunteers ... and I applaud your work.
