Sorry if this has already been posted......
I have found a virus that was in my windows/system32 folder. I could not delete it. I moved it out of the system files, still can't delete it, and then changed it from a .dll to a .doc and still cannot delete it. Does anyone know a way around this?

Which signature was detected? There is a nifty utility out there called "killbox" that works really well for deleting files that won't normally let you delete them.

If you have located the rascal, try to upload a copy of it to VirusTotal to check it out at https://www.virustotal.com/en/virustotalf.html. They will check it for you free against 15 to 20 virus scanners and give you a report. If ClamWin is the only one that finds it, it is probably a false positive. If at least two or three other scanners also find a virus, it is probably the real thing. Print the VirusTotal report so you can do some searching for the name(s) on the Web for removal instructions. Not every scanner will give it the same name.
