Since ClamWin can not desinfect files from viruses I found the idea of scannig quarantine folder as not too good.
Now if you have new (not default) quarantine folder let's say on E: drive and ClamWin finds viruses on C: - it will move files on E: drive (if corresponding option is selected in preferences).
After scanning C and D drives ClamWin will scan E and quarantine folder....
It will find viruses in quarantine folder (moved already there from C drive) AND will AGAIN "move" them in the same quarantine folder with new names.
Also if there are actually 10 viruses - ClamWin will report them as 20 (after finding them in the quarantine folder also).
Of course, now you can manually add this quarantine folder in excluded list, but I think it will be good idea when user selects a folder to be his quarantine folder - this folder to be automatically excluded from the scans (as it is now for WINDOWS\system32\config folder).

Indeed, even wiser would be to encrypt the quarantine folder so it doesn't matter where you place it or if you scan it.

quarantine management is improved in the upcomiong version 1 - all quarantined files are zipped with password and logged in the database so you can restore them from the clamwin program.

I was just wondering if there is any way you could use ClamWin with the Win XP System Restore function to create a system restore point after each successful ClamWin complete hard drive scan. That way, if the next scan finds malware, perhaps it could set system restore to the previous good ClamWin restore point. Of course, you would probably have to consider any legitimate changes to the system made by the user after the ClamWin system restore point, but this might enable you to undo changes to the system made by malware--sort of a cheap disinfection of the system.
