hmm it seams you have new clamwin but old clamav binaries, I suggest you to uninstall remove the directory then
install 0.88.6 from scratch

update by over write doesn't work; delete the directory then re-install doesn't, too; remove, restart windows then re-install works.

but previous version has no this behaviour.

No, I just update from 0.88.5. Check for new version is enabled, it prompt me to update. Like to other versions, I went down the flow: dwonload, install and scan C:\WINNT. My system is Win2000 pro + SP4.

Is there any thing stored in system register or INI file?

Sherpya: you mentioned this option in a post not too long ago. He may have configured for that option in version 0.88.5, and ClamWin kept in the 0.88.6 install. If not, then he has a beta version for some reason.

Regards,

even adding --kill twice clamscan 0.88.6 accepts the cmdline, so maybe you got a problem upgrading

definitely a problem with overwriting older clamav binaries. Maybe a scan (manual or scheduled) was running during an upgrade and the files were locked. Then the installer registered them to be replaced on reboot.

we known, clamwin don't monitor file access in real-time. at the moment i update it, it's not in progress of scanning. yes, it's running at that time, but it's closed automatically.
if the problem is rare, don't spend more time on it.

thanks for every body!
