I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help me. I've recently just installed the clamwin 0.88.4. It worked fine yesterday. Today, i saw a small dialog popup message saying something like ... allow clamwin.exe in your firewall & check proxy settings <urlopen error(10060, 'operation timed out').

how do i allow clamwin.exe in my firewall when the firewall is turned off? what port do i have to make open for it?

some firewalls spot a popup asking if you want to allow it to go to internet, you should check firewall options and add an exception for freshclam and clamwin

if you get this error occasionally - then just ignore it. most likely that was an Internet connectivity problem
