I have looked through the forum for how one might get a current status for scan progress and the best thing I could find was to have windows task scheduler start the scan. I guess I could do that but what is the purpose of the program being able to handle its own scheduled scans? I like Clamwin. Will a progress indicator be added for scheduled scans in the future? The log is usless for this until after the scheduled scan completes. It is a little alarming to see major disk activity continuing on my hard drive 3.5 hours after the scan is supposed to start.

I suggested a progress indicator to the ClamWin developer(s) years ago. They thought that it was unnecessary and not really indicative of actual scan progress. Every other AV I can think of has one, but I don't think ClamWin will ever. The developers want to do as little as possible to the original source code they get from Clam Av--this makes it easier to port it over to ClamWin.

I also think the same way.
