Hi to all! I've just discovered this amazing antivirus and now I'm ready to use it every time I browse in the web. I'm glad to meet more experienced users to give me a piece of advice if I need. And it's really great that ClamWin has a portable version - I'm really excited about this, but I can't see a big difference between them.

The portable version of ClamWin is not supported by the ClamWin developers and these ClamWin forums. It is not as configurable as ClamWin.

ClamWin is an on-demand AV scanner, which means it scans only when you tell it to--via a schedule or via a manual scan. It is not a real-time scanner, so you need a real-time scanner while you are cruising the web. There are lots of free AV scanners, including Microsoft's Windows Defender or Security Essentials (for older computers).
