Many AV companies (big ones) now automate the processing of the bulk of the submissions they get and leave the complicated/interesting ones for their sigmakers. Clam does not presently have the budget/software to do this, so they continue to process every signature manually, but they do not get the number of signatures that the big AVs get. Clam gets a bit less than 20,000 signatures a month, while some of rthe big AVs probably get that many in one day! Clam does have a growning backlog, however, and more automation would certain help. Clam has one full-time sigmaker, and several others chip in when they can.

ClamWin version .96 (undergoing beta testing presently) will have the ability to recognize false positives on Microsoft files. Upon recognizing the false positive, it will bypass the detection and then request the user to make a false positive submission to Clam.

You mean like a plugin which says to the user "Click here to submit to Clam as a false positive"?

That would make things easier for the end-user Very Happy

By the way, you mention that some of the big AV's do massive amounts of signatures in a day...

would you consider NOD32 a big AV or a medium/small one?
I use it in tandem with Clam and find the combo to be a good fit.

Why are you posting this? This old post is from 8 years ago! The public version of Anubis is no longer around! It has not been around for several years.
