Hi I am RN. Could you tell me about scan result display.
I use portable type clamwin. I installed clamwin to USB device, insert it to PC and do scan PC.
Version is 0.97.3 or 0.99.4. These are not mixed in same USB device.
I try sccanning PC and clamwin showed completing message and result.
Scanned Directries are many many folders.
But Scanned file are very small number(0 - 6 or so). I expected so many file were scanned.
I wondered why this happened. This happened each version.
----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 4749987
Engine version: 0.97.3
Scanned directories: 3004
Scanned files: 3 (why did this happen?)
Infected files: 0
Data scanned: 0.21 MB
Data read: 0.21 MB (ratio 1.00:1)
Time: 6738.790 sec (112 m 18 s)
If you know this event occer, please tell me that
1. Did this Scan finish perfectly?
2. Did this Scan checked all file in Scanned directories?
3. Do you know the report in this community about scan summary like this?
Thank you for your reading.

We can not provide much help with the ClamWin Portable version. The ClamWin developers were not involved with it. They (and this web site) are concerned only with the permanently installed version of ClamWin under Windows--not the portable version placed on a CD/USB.
With that said, however, it looks like the scan was completed okay. The ClamWin scanning default is to scan all files, but ClamWin is actually unable to scan all types of files. Perhaps the folder(s) you scanned contained mostly files that it can not scan. Additionally, if you have configured ClamWin to only scan certain file types (exe, pdf, xls, doc, etc.), it will scan only those file types.
I think if there was an error in the scan, the scan report would indicate an error.
Be sure to use ClamWin as backup to a real-time AV scanner for full protection. It does not provide adequate protection by itself.
Regards,

Thank you for your reply.
I did default scan for all type files in C drive of windows 2000 and XP without any SP.
I will keep in mind that this way is supplementary.
